For the 50th anniversary of Bobbejaanland, the theme park built a brand new, fully-equipped spinning roller coaster called the DIZZ.
The DIZZ was not a mere technical creation, but one that needed to standout and look exceptional. For this reason, Bobbejaanland placed its brand new spinning coaster in an eye-catching street-art setting. Given ContentCowboys’ hands-on knowledge and experience with street art, it came as no surprise that our agency would be the perfect fit for the job. For this project, we developed the complete house style and logo for the ride and selected three contemporary street-art collectives who designed the carts.
Regarding the implementation of the new thrill-ride ‘DIZZ,’ the audience was able to decorate their own carts.
On www.bobbejaanland.be enthusiasts were invited to participate in the ‘Pimp DIZZ Bakske’ contest for a 10 day period. Anyone who felt creative could pimp their own DIZZ-cart with selected patterns. Daring minds were even able to improvise their artistic abilities by designing their cart from scratch.
We chose three winners out of 1600 entries. The carts containing the most votes on the website walked away with the “We like DIZZ bakske” price.’ A professional jury consisting of three acclaimed street artists chose the best designs. Since May 7, 2011 those who won the contest were lucky enough to have their cart featured on the tracks of the Dizz coaster.
